How to prepare

Players will need a microphone and good internet connection to connect to fantasy grounds. Webcams are strongly encouraged because I feel that player expressions are important to facilitate game play. If you absolutely do not feel comfortable using a webcam you will not be required too. Characters sheets and dice will be provided in fantasy grounds.

What I provide

I will bring the rule system, character sheets, dice, maps and illustrations within fantasy grounds.

Gameplay details

Call of Cthulhu is a horror game with dark themes and heavy role playing encouraged. One-Shot Call of Cthulhu games where you are given pregenerated characters are akin to improv acting. I've given the game an 18+ rating because there may be adult themes. If you feel uncomfortable with something please let me know privately and I will address the issue immediately.

How will character creation work

This is a one-shot Call of Cthulhu game where characters will be pregenerated with strong role playing ties written into their back stories. Much of the fun in these type of games is the challenge of playing a character that you don't expect and have not prepared to play.

Players can expect

  • Combat/Tactics: Medium
  • Roleplay: High
  • Puzzles: Low
