DnD5e: Tales From The Yawning Portal

About the adventure

Players of all skill levels are welcomed to come here. If this is your first time playing DnD5e the GM is prepared to assist you with learning the system. This campaign will take you through all the adventures in the Yawning Portal book. The sunless Citadel, The Forge of Furry, The Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan, Dead in Thay, Against the Giants, and Tomb of Horrors. By players' request the GM can insert more opportunities for side quests, custom adventures, roleplay opportunities, character driven plots, and anything else they desire. Players will make a level 1 character using any official DnD5e content. Any homebrew will have to be shown to the GM for approval. characters can be made before session 0 but it is preferred to make characters at session 0 with stats rolled. We will be playing using Foundry VTT and as part of session zero you will be given tutorial for the program. If you are new to DnD5e the GM will also give you a tutorial and assist you with learning the system.

Additional Details

How to prepare

Players will need a mic, a discord account, and good internet connection. It is recommended to read the rules before hand. During session 0 we will test your ability to access foundry vtt and I will give a tutorial on how it works.

Gameplay details

How will character creation work

At session 0 players will create their character using the standard character creation rules found in the rulebook. Stats will be rolled. I am willing to consider homebrew. Lastly, we will make a backstory but it is not necessary.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
