Dnd for Beginners: Learn How to Play by Playing!

About the adventure

Have you wanted to try out a role-playing game like Dungeons and Dragons, but felt intimidated with the rulebooks, "optimal" choices, and complex virtual tabletop systems? Then this is the alternative for you! This game is designed to be both stress free in guiding players through playing, but also feel fast-paced and action packed since we won't be completely bogged down in the rules. We'll all be new here (except me, the game master, who has guided new players through D&D for years longer than I have been hosting veteran player games). We'll be playing in an introductory game that leads the players through the early levels of gameplay.

How to prepare

You do need a reliable mic, and don't worry about D&D rules ahead of time. However, you will need to download Discord on an internet reliable device. If you are stressed out about either of these apps, please reach out ahead of time and I'll guide you! Physical dice are REALLY fun to roll, but there are dice rolling programs on the computer for you!

What I provide

I can give you access to my dndbeyond.com sourcebooks on my account, but you won't need them.

Gameplay details

Players can expect a storytelling-heavy experience, with a fun plot and role-playing, and light on bogging down play with looking up rules.

How will character creation work

I will have pre-made characters you can use for the game unless you have a great idea of your own. If the latter is the case, please reach out to me beforehand!

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
