About the adventure
Rime of the Frostmaiden, WOTC's most recent published campaign setting. Levels 1-12, 5e D&D. Run by experienced DM that's seen multiple campaigns to completion. Looking for 5 players to get started! The adventure kicks off with some high-fantasy questing around Ten-Towns, before spilling out into the greater wilderness as the characters get involved in some more sinister plots... This adventure has some horror elements, which we can keep, try to use, or completely avoid. This setting is iconic, because it's the setting of much of R.A. Salvatore's Crystal Key trilogy, which got me into D&D some 20 years ago! There are also built-in character options specific to Icewind Dale, which you can optionally use if you want some inspiration for your character :) By signing up, you'll get access to the Discord server and an invitation to join the Tableplop game. What you get: - Discord access for voice chat, campaign tracking, and between session chat - WOTC-published adventure path - NPCs each with unique voices, and depth - We'll use a variety of published maps and theater of mind - Good pace - I know the rules, adjudicate on the fly, and like to keep the focus on the fantasy, not the rules - Challenging, but fair combat! - Short after session chatter after each game, and an ever-available GM for any questions or concerns

Gameplay details
This adventure path is a typical mix of exploration, roleplay, and combat. My usual style involves long days, tough choices, lots of clocks ticking on multiple quests/goals. So we'll try to incorporate that as much as the adventure path allows. But we're going to hammer that out even more in Session 0; every group is different. We also will be drawing inspiration from The TTRPG Safety Toolkit in Session 0, and make sure everyone is on the same page for the first session.
