About the adventure
Skip low levels and Start at level 11! Join an excursion into the dangers of the Underdark! Immerse yourself in a world of mystery, imagination, problem solving, and action! GM with 30+ years experience. Beginners and vets welcome! Adventure! A great Evil Grows beneath the mountains, war spreads its fire once more, and heroes walk the land. Leave safety of the surface behind and seek out a great and ancient evil which has plagued the lands of elf, dwarf, and orc alike for over a thousand years. Delve deep beneath the earth, encounter drow, mindflayers, shadow dragons, and kua-toa. Traverse narrow caverns, deep fissures, troll lairs, underground lakes and rivers, and strange ruins drenched in the magical radiation of the underdark! Find your way to the lost mines of the Redshield dwarves, now a citadel of darkness in the deep. But to seek the heart of darkness deep beneath the misted mountains it will take all the skill, experience, and magic that only a party of hardened adventurers and heroes can muster! Navigate a living world of hazards, agendas, monsters, treasure, exploration, arduous journeys, and deadly foes! Build contacts, make plans, create items, use the tools, items, and abilities of your character to devise clever solutions to complex problems. The Setting The world has long been a battlefield where forces beyond mortal ken battle for unknown purposes. Kingdoms of Elf, Orc, and Man have been shaped by this. Few gods are worshipped, for their call is dim here. The touch of giant, dragon, elemental, and fey have moved the wheels of time and shaped the courses of history much more than that of divine beings. Ancient evils stain the land, goodly nobles struggle under the weight of their duties while the others satisfy their hunger for gold and power. Mercenary bands turned bandit plague the roads and forests. Adventurers seek their fame seeking the lost kingdom of Haven, who legend has it was a bastion of order, and allied to a benevolent House of powerful fey. But legend also states that Haven was caught in the timeless war between the fey, trapped by one known as Arik. Events Rumor has it that some folks freed the Silver Palace of Haven from the red gloom of Arik, but the descendent of Haven's nobility, Baroness D'Hims, has allied with Arik and now seeks to invade the newly-awakened Haven. The Heroes of Haven were sent south to find allies, aid them, and bring them to Haven's Aid. But the lands to the south had their own problems. Buried beneath the dust of war, cursed by ancient evils in the land, and pecked at by bandits, the folk of the principalities needed help before they could help anyone. After a mountain of tasks were completed the heroes have realized that events to the north have shifted, an invasion now imminent. Argenta, the Silver Princess of Haven, instruct the party to go beneath the mountains, to the site where the Eye of Arik had been found, the relic that originally trapped Haven. There, she says, Arik's will is strongest. Find his warlocks, end their ritual, and close Arik off from touching this world for one hundred and one years. Details Characters start at lvl 10, using Standard Array.
How to prepare
Headphones (preferred for feedback reduction) Webcam (optional!), Discord and Roll20 account, a passing familiarity with the rules adn a willingness to learn, and any character art you come up with to use as a battle token!

Combat that is a combination of detailed adn fast-paced, sandboxing opportunities, memorable NPCs who remember you, of detailed exploration, decisions that have weight, lore and secrets which change the game, challenging enemies and environments, evocative narration by someone with experience in medieval combat and years of experience!

How will character creation work
Character creation can begin prior to the game either in Roll20 where the game will be played or in D&DBeyond if you like. Session 0 will involve going over preference and goals, finalizing details, and setting the stage for adventure! PCs will start at lvl 10, +1 weapons and armor, 3 uncommon items and one rare (all subject to DM discretion) Race choices are pretty open, and choosing something not already represented will be an opportunity for you to tell the table the story of where you come from! Many obscure and powerful races from other realms may not be available.
