About the adventure

The holy city of Elturel has disappeared from the Forgotten Realms! Infernal aftershocks are believed to be echoes of bargains between ArchDevils & treacherous Nobles. Rumors of more cities vanishing seem to be connected to the ongoing conflict between Demons & Devils known as The Blood War. Fear & anxiety grip The Sword Coast as common folks wait helplessly to see if their town will be next to descend in apocalypse! This campaign will be “Baldur’s Gate: Descent Into Avernus” with a twist; elements will be mixed in from Sandy Peterson’s “Planet Apocalypse”! This adventure will not be for the faint of heart!

Additional Details

How to prepare

I prefer to play on Demiplane. Video connections are required, preferably with a computer instead of a tablet or smartphone. Microphone headsets are not required but a good internet connection & a quiet room to play from is mandatory. If you have access to DnDBeyond, please feel free to use that for building your Character Sheet.

What I provide

Demiplane has a digital dice roller. I will have Maps & NPC pictures to share. Plus, I like to play light ambient music in the background. Once all the Characters are created, I can draw some Portraits!

Gameplay details

We will start with a Session 0 to go over Character Creation & setting lore. Also I’ll explain my HomeBrew Amendments & House Rules. As far as content, I’d say I run my games like “80’s Fantasy Films”: a little intense at times but typically safe for all audiences. I don’t mind if Players use a little language now & then, but if things start getting “R-rated”, I’m gonna ask you reel it in.

How will character creation work

We will create Characters starting at LVL3 using details from the module. You will all be familiar with each other from the get go. Skills will either be set with Point Buy or Standard Array. DO NOT come with a Backstory longer than 100 words. This includes Traits, Ideals, Bonds & Flaws. Usually I say “No Evil Alignments” but I’m willing to have little wiggle room in this campaign as long as you’re not screwing each other over.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
