About the adventure

You've heard tales of it. Now experience this dangerous misery crawl by Patrick Stuart and Scrap Princess first hand: A broken dam. A land overtaken by the deluge. You arrive in Carrowmore, only to witness the horrific aftermath of a catastrophic event. Wade through tragedy and a flooded wasteland fraught with peril to discover the mysteries revealed within the drained reservoir. Treasures of an ancient civilization gone but not forgotten, sunken for centuries, are waiting for the cunning and foolhardy to claim. Maybe you can do a little good along the way? This game features a harrowing overland travel, followed by a delve into highly conceptualized dungeon. You'll need creative problem solving as much as physical prowess to succeed and claim your own share of the treasure.

Gameplay details

What to know going in: By nature of the events that precede it, this is a dark setting, very akin to real world natural and manmade disasters that involve severe flooding. Many of the NPCs are dealing with this aftermath to best of their ability, or not at all. How your character deals with these situations is entirely up to you. This is all in the context of weird fantasy RPG setting, so keep that in mind as well. With that knowledge, I want to make sure to cover any lines and veils during our first session. I tried to cover every possible content warnings. Some of these things are just implied. We'll discuss concerns prior to gameplay. I always glad to chat with players via Discord leading up to the session. X, N and O cards share visually on screen or via chat. I will have an icon on our VTT for use. We'll have one dedicated break per session. The door is always open. If you need to step away to grab a snack, beverage, whatever reason, it's no problem. I will always include time to debrief at the end of every session. We can use this time however needed, be that post game discussion or decompression.

How will character creation work

We'll create characters at the start of session one. Character creation in Into the Odd is easy even without any experience and should take around a half hour depending on how many characters we have. Characters will start at level 3. We will talk about why your characters are in Carrowmore and set up hooks that tie them into the setting and adventure.
