About the adventure

Welcome to the S.S. Arbórea! This living ship from the Meridian Islands offers you the chance to witness beautiful Kindori while on your daily commute, but watch out for Wildspace storms! This ship is full of quirky characters, from the motherly cook Mimsy to the local ghost Pollux. An unforeseen storm is on the horizon and once it clears, Captain Giovanni von Argo is found dead in his spelljamming helm. It's up to you to find out what happened! - This one-shot will start with everyone rolling to see who they are on the ship. Are you a crew mate? Stowaway? Sightseer? We'll see! You'll get special information regarding the mystery depending on which you are. - Character sheets will be made on D&DBeyond (don't worry, I own pretty much everything!), with visuals on Roll20. I make my own maps with Inkarnate! - This oneshot will be 90% roleplay/investigation and 10% combat. - This adventure is very beginner friendly! In Roll20 I'll have handy handouts with basic Spelljammer rules for those unfamiliar.

Additional Details

How to prepare

No webcam required, but a mic definitely is. I will be making a temporary discord server to harbor our adventure, which includes a dice bot (Avrae)! Avrae will be connected to the D&DBeyond campaign, so if you want to use that, that's perfect. Otherwise feel free to use your own dice!

I'm providing a map of the world + ship along with art for premade characters and NPCs.

Gameplay details

I want this to be a fun and safe experience for everyone. When we get started, I will send a Google Forms link to everyone if there is anything in particular that I need to know about triggers. Rest assured, my table will NEVER have homophobia, transphobia, ableism, classism, or racism of any kind and I do not tolerate it. That being said, if core aspects of a murder mystery could be triggering, this might not be the game for you.

How will character creation work

This is a level 5 adventure! I have some premade characters ready, but I am also more than happy to allot some extra time for character creation the day of.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
