Dungeons & Dragons 5e

D&D Beyond

About the adventure

The Horned King is at it again! Join a miscreant band of Disney heroes and villains as they attempt to stop their undead enemy from returning. Band together, leap into danger, and make movie references like there is no tomorrow. Plot Synopsis for March 25th: After previous resurrection attempts with ancient magics and future technology failed, the Horned King knew then that he could not do this on his own. Seeking aid from the Lord of the Dead himself, the Blue Fairy has seen the undead tyrant's shadow lurking about caves to the underworld. It is up to you to prevent him from being given permission to walk among the living again and simply marching back up to the surface world. This is a 5e D&D game. Over 30 pre-made Disney characters are available. You may make your own version of a Disney character at 3rd level. New and Old players welcome. This game serves equally well either a family game night or a relaxed , nostalgic evening for experienced players. If less than 3 players sign up, the session will be canceled.

Gameplay details

Game play will differ on player experience. Most D&Disney games follow 5e rules with a high level of reflavoring. Family games with youths are much more relaxed with the rules falling away to let anything imagined be possible. As a rule, anything a character can do in a movie a player can also do either with something on their character sheet or a quick ruling by the GM. Most D&Disney games have a few combats scattered among exploration and a riddle or puzzle. RP naturally happens between PCs/NPCs and is aided by our familiarity with the characters. Safety Tools: Players will be asked to give me their Lines-and-Veils: topics that are more personal or graphic that should be handled with care or not at all. Lines are hard boundaries on content that will not be included in the game. Veils are softer boundaries that can occur behind a curtain where the players know what is happening but narrative details are sparse and it is not dwelled up. At any point a player may update these.
