About the adventure

A personalized invitation from one Volothamp Geddarm has brought you to the Yawning Portal, a famous tavern within the city of Waterdeep. Once there, he requests aid in locating a friend of his who has recently gone missing. This simple quest enacts a domino effect that leads the party to face off against bandits, creatures, and crime lords, making friends and foes along the way. Explore the city, collect gold and earn a reputation, and eventually learn of a hidden vault underneath the city holding more than half a million gold pieces, waiting for someone to claim it. "Waterdeep: Dragon Heist" is a D&D adventure module published by Wizard's of the Coast and set in the Forgotten Realms setting. In this game, I will guide up to 6 players as they venture through the city of Waterdeep. After a FREE session zero (where we will discuss campaign expectations, safety tools, character creations, etc.) we will then establish a schedule for when and how often games will be played.

How to prepare

All you will need is a mic with good connection, a Discord account, and your undivided attention. Please be sure to set aside time in order to play. This is to insure a quality experience playing D&D.

What I provide

I'll provide all the necessary sourcebooks, as well as the adventure module as well. Music/Ambiance will also be provided if the players wish for it.

Gameplay details

Waterdeep: Dragon Heist is an urban fantasy adventure set in the D&D world of Faerun. A typical session would have a good amount of exploration, roleplay, and combat, with the ability to do downtime activities, such as crafting an item, gambling, training, etc.. With this being a beginner-friendly game, I will be providing any and all assistance in learning the mechanics of both roleplay and combat, with patience being a virtue I will be carrying throughout the campaign. There will also be a light amount of homebrew rules in play, which will be discussed further in our session zero.
