About the adventure

Talk coming out of the small city of Yorkshire is that it has recently become overrun with ghost, ghouls, and otherworldly haunting creatures. The town guard are too few and too unskilled to take on such a threat, some of them are even abandoning their posts. During your travels, you've received a letter from an anonymous investor. They have offered you and your cohorts a place to make your home of operations in Yorkshire to investigate and take care of this paranormal threat for a small stake of any profits on the back end. It sounds too good to be true, but you're tired of travelling the countryside. May as well see if it's actually worth anything. The only question that remains is: "Who Dost Thou Call Upon"

How to prepare

MUST HAVE: -Mic of decent enough quality -Discord -Your Character Sheet (print or digital is fine) -Dice -Your sourcebooks/handbooks for your character needs. NICE TO HAVE (But not necessary): -Camera (if you're not comfortable on camera that is okay too) -Snacks and Drinks -Scratch Paper, notepad, or notes app

What I provide

I'll be creating digital game assets that the players can keep and use and by the end of our campaign I will draw a character portrait for each of you. Digital assets will include maps, item cards, character art and you'll be given free reign to use them in your own home games should you find yourself in need of gaming assets!

Gameplay details

I like to run a casual table, I will typically always reward creative problem solving even if it differs from what the written text may advise. That being said, rules-lawyer type players sometime get frustrated at my tables, so this is just to warn you. Here are some other things you WON'T get from my table: -No Racism as a crutch or a mechanic, a one-off maligned individual may pop up occasionally -No Rape, Sexual Assault or coercion scenarios. -No Gatekeeping, bigotry, or general 'Bad Vibes', I have a Zero-Tolerance stance here. Here are some things you WILL get from my table: -A place to unwind and be creative with new friends in a judgement free zone. -An open play space where I will never intentionally make a player uncomfortable and should it arise we work together to remedy discomfort for all. -Rewards for creativity, ingenuity, and 'outside the bun' thinking. -A couple hours of much needed escapism.

How will character creation work

Starting off at level one can be a REAL bummer, we don't want to spend sessions solely grind away for XP so we can eventually do cool shit, WE WANNA DO COOL SHIT NOW!!! WE WILL DISCUSS CHARACTER CREATION & PARTY BUILD DURING SESSION ZERO That being said, start looking ahead and what you think you'd like to place race/class and have at least two options for each We will start at a level 5 build. -No Character Race Restrictions, though please stick to official Source Materials -Classes/Multiclasses will be discussed and decided by the end of Session Zero (In case the gimmick wasn't clear in the description this is a concept "in the spirit of" an idea of "What if Ghostbusters but in D&D?) but the archetypes will and story will be uniquely our own, it's just our loose basis/springboard for our campaign.) NOTE: You're part of a group that has been working together for at least a 6-month period of time, please account for this in any backstory you may have. We will discuss the interpersonal relationships within the group during Session Zero as well.
