About the adventure

Beneath the unyielding night sky, you stand before a towering glacier and recite an ancient rhyme, causing a crack to form in the great wall of ice. Beyond this yawning fissure, the Caves of Hunger await. And past this icy dungeon is a secret so old and terrifying that few dare speak of it. The mad wizards of the Arcane Brotherhood long to possess that which the god of winter’s wrath has so coldly preserved—as do you! What fantastic secrets and treasures are entombed in the sunless heart of the glacier, and what will their discovery mean for the denizens of Icewind Dale? Can you save Ten-Towns from the Frostmaiden’s everlasting night? Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden is a tale of dark terror that revisits the forlorn, flickering candlelights of civilization known as Ten-Towns and sheds light on the many bone-chilling locations that surround these frontier settlements. -------------------------------------------- Individual players are welcome. No experience with Dungeons and Dragons or any other TTRPGs is necessary. Players should have a Discord and D&D Beyond account created in advance of the first proper session (feel free to contact me if you're having any issues with this process.)

Additional Details

How to prepare

Players will need Discord and D&D Beyond profiles (both of which are free to create profiles for.) A microphone is a requirement, a webcam is optional. Roll20 will be used if the players want to have more visuals, especially for combat maps. The account for that is also free.

What I provide

Joining the linked D&D Beyond campaign will grant you access to my collection of character races, subclasses, homebrew items/spells, and other character creation options.

How will character creation work

Characters can be created with assistance during session zero or beforehand for players who feel confident doing so on their own. Guidance can be provided during session zero or as available via Discord between sessions. Character options include any of the official WotC books (which are accessible via the linked D&D Beyond campaign.)

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
