Dance of Deception - The Assassination of Duke Kardin

About the adventure

You have been hired by a more than sleezy figure to assasinate the Duke Kardin on his next big masked ball. The figure provides you with costumes and masks of your choosing, as well as riches beyond comprehension for dealing with this... problem of his. You have to get in and out by yourself. The only rule? By the end of the night, the duke must be dead. Dive into the ballroom, dance among your victims and deceive (or murder) those in your way. May it be poison, hidden daggers, surprisingly sharp decorative rapiers, alchemical shenanigans or simply silver tongued devilry: whatever gets you closer to your goal. This One-Shot can pretty much be whatever the group decides to do: A roleplay heavy deception game, a gritty bloodbath or a silent sneak attempt. (Usually its more roleplay focused with elements of combat and sneaking around).

How to prepare

Working Microphones are the minimum requirement - a webcam would be a nice addition. You should be familiar with the Pathfinder 2e ruleset (even if its only knowledge about your ancestry, class and the "playing the game" part of the Core Rulebook).

What I provide

I cloudhost the game on Foundry VTT, meaning that you only have to bring in your character beforehand and everything else will be my responsibility

Gameplay details

You will spend your time in the Dukes mansion: a two story building with a lavish garden, filled to the brim with exceptionally rare plants and hundreds of nobles. Your mission is to muder the host by the end of the night, how you go about it, is up to you.

How will character creation work

The characters should be created beforehand - you can go into as much or as little detail as you like. This is a Level 7 Pathfinder 2e Game, in which we use all officialpaizo content and will use two variant rules for additional flavor: The Free Archetype Ruleset and the Automatic Bonus Progression. All Info can be found in the Archives of Nethys, a free wikipedia for Pathfinder, approved by paizo. (You can use the Pathbuilder2e App from the Appstore to make this easier.)

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
