About the adventure

Hello, you’ve contacted me through Start Playing Games to play a custom game session! Before we get the fun started, we’ll need to get you to join the game through StartPlaying.Games so we can reserve your time for the session. We’ve already spoken about the details of your custom game commission and we’ll play the game you requested on the date agreed upon. If you need to reschedule the session, you may do so up to 24 hours prior to the game start time. If you cancel any time after that, you will be charged for the session.

How to prepare

You will need to fill out your Consent Checklist and Optional/Variant Rule Questionnaire quickly so we can get everyone the time they need to make their characters. If any players are new to the system and would feel more comfortable using a pre-generated character, please just ask and I’ll have one ready for you.

What I provide

I have licenses for both Fantasy Grounds Ultimate and Foundry VTT, which allow players who join me to use only the free/demo versions without needing to pay anything themselves. I pay for Syrinscape, so we have top-notch atmospheric and action sounds specifically designed for this campaign; you only need to download and activate the free Syrinscape Online Player. I also share all D&D 5e player’s books through the D&D Beyond campaign, making it easy for you to reference rules you might need in and out of the game.

Gameplay details

We will play the adventure you requested with the provisions of the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist you will receive after signing up for this custom game session. The checklist helps me determine what kind of tone and content suits you and your fellow players. You will also receive a questionnaire about optional/variant rules that your group might enjoy playing with.

How will character creation work

We will make characters after all the players return their questionnaires and we find out what optional/variant rules we’ll be using. I will then push a link to D&D Beyond to the group and everyone will be able to make their characters using that system prior to our game session.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
