About the adventure

You went out to celebrate a wedding - a joyous occasion. But as you eat and drink and joke, an unseen eye scans the crowd, searching for its next victim. What should have been an easy ride home ends with you surrounded by the Mists … and other, less visible threats … Welcome to Barovia, a land of mist and mystery. You are here at the Count’s pleasure, mice in this cat and mouse game. Befriend (or befoe) the people of Barovia as you explore through old windmills, abandoned towers, ancient abbeys, and hidden temples. Vistani will help and hinder while others may be more than they appear to be… Curse of Strahd is traditionally a D&D 5e campaign of levels 1-10. Here, it is reimagined as a Pathfinder 2nd Edition campaign from levels 1-11. Your characters, lost in the Mists, will need to journey throughout Barovia to find magical artifacts, allies, and equipment in order to take on the master of the realm, Strahd von Zarovich. Their ultimate fate is in your hands. As a DM, I ensure my players have a great time both rolling dice and playing their roles. For this campaign, I’ll ensure you have the proper tools to excel in this campaign, not only through cheat sheets and recommended videos, but also by helping develop characters in session zero (along with a mini combat to show you how the crunchier side of the system works). This campaign has a free session and will be using Legacy content.

How to prepare

Players will need a Discord account, a (free) Forge VTT account, a winning attitude, a mic, somewhere to take notes, and to pay $5 to Pathbuilder to unlock the variant rule features.

What I provide

I will bring the Discord server, the maps, the NPCs, I will help with tokens, etc. In short, I'll facilitate play and ensure you have a create time kicking asses, and taking names.

Gameplay details

During Session Zero, we'll be going over our Lines and Veils, as well as having a discussion on triggers. X, N, and O cards will be messaged from DM to other players if needed to ensure players are comfortable, though the spirit of the cards will be observed either way. The game will be played on Foundry for the virtual tabletop and Discord for communication during sessions (microphone required).

How will character creation work

Character creation will happen during session zero with everyone else. We will be using Pathbuilder for characters, and will go through the steps required to help players make their characters. You will need a free Forge VTT account, but we'll talk about that in session zero.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
