About the adventure

Emphasis on character development and personal horror Centuries ago, a powerful nobleman made an alliance with a dark entity, sacrificing his soul to possess the woman he desired. The bargain struck, a creeping fog swallowed his land of Barovia, trapping him and all his subjects with a demiplane of dread beyond the reach of even the gods. Within that land, a tragic story of obsession and murder has been echoing through the centuries, until a group of strangers emerges from the mist to challenge the immortal count... "Curse of Strahd" is an sandbox-style horror/fantasy campaign starting at level 1. In our game, I hope to take the characters as high as level 13, featuring additional side-quests, encounters, and stories not featured in the published module.

Additional Details

How to prepare

All I require of my players is a decent quality mic and a decent internet connection. A basic knowledge of the lore of the Forgotten Realms is a bonus, but not necessary. Also, it would be a good idea to find art for your character before session 0.

What I provide

We will be running the sessions in Foundry VTT, which takes care of character sheets, dice rolling and maps. I will create personalised tokens for your characters from the art that you share with me.

Gameplay details

Curse of Strahd is GOTHIC HORROR. Its story and role-play relies on heavy dark fantasy. Horrible things happen, have happened, and will happen. The Domains of Dread have long been steeped in darkness and despair and while evil has not triumphed entirely, it has a strong upper hand. Which is where you come in. Will you save this realm, or be consumed by it? The future is still uncertain... This game is 18+ and contains themes that some players may find disturbing. We will take advantage of the lines and veils system so that we can make sure that we are all comfortable during the sessions. Also, we will take advantage of the X Card system, so if at any point someone is not comfortable with what is happening in the game, we can stop the game, talk about what is going on and see how we can go forward. The list of content warnings includes possible, but not guaranteed, content. Almost everything on that list can be changed to make sure that everybody is comfortable.

How will character creation work

Character creation will be achieved during session 0, however you are more than welcome to come with a character ready. Just be prepared to make some changes to accommodate the rest of the party and the lore of the setting . I will go over how to use Foundry VTT and how to create characters in Foundry VTT. Characters will be level 1, I accept all official sources for character options, including but not limited to: Tasha's Cauldron of Everything Optional Class & Race Options; Fizban's Treasury of Dragons Dragonborn; Monster's of the Multiverse Race Variants.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
