About the adventure

Under raging storm clouds, the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind’s howling increases as he turns his gaze down toward the village of Barovia. A lightning flash rips through the darkness, but Strahd is gone. Only the howling of the wind fills the midnight air. The master of Castle Ravenloft is having guests for dinner—and you are invited... Get lost in the mists to find the forgotten village of Barovia. Explore this dark and hostile region and experience the woe of its inhabitants. Battle against the fell creatures of the night, and if you so dare, hunt the ruler of this fallen land, the Vampire Lord, Strahd Van Zarovich. There will be monsters to fight, lore to learn, villages to help, and much much more. This game is for players looking for a dark, mysterious, and possible terrifying adventure. This adventure is not for the feint of heart and will contains adult themes (anything that could provoke a player will be discusessed before hand to ensure player comfort). Come ready to delve into Barovia and unravel its dark mysteries. Beginner, intermediate, and experienced players are all welcome to embark on this dark, mysterious, and thrilling adventure! (Game Time/Day can always be altered to better fit the party's schedule!)

How to prepare

Abandon all hope..... jk ;) Upon contacting me I will send you invites on both Discord and Roll20, so please have accounts on both of these platforms. Mics are required, and webcam is optional (but recommended).

Gameplay details

There is a fair amount of roleplaying inside Curse of Strahd, however as a DM this is amazing to hear! With the character's backstories you develop, I will integrate these inside the adventure. Perhaps you have a vendetta against the werewolves who killed your family. Perhaps you're the target of Strahd's next infatuation. Or perhaps you've been having haunting visions of shadows and mists. Whatever it be, your backstory will be integrated into the adventure giving the game a personal and realistic feel. The total number of sessions are set by the pacing the group decides and feel comfortable with. I will not rush players through any content they wish to deeply explore.

How will character creation work

Players will begin at level 1, and all available classes/races in any official WotC published book is open (Unearthed Arcana is a possibility with a few restrictions)! For ability scores, you may either use the WotC point buy option, or to make it a little easier, use the following array [15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8]. We will create our characters inside of Roll20. You don't need to have a prepared character, but have a good idea on what you would like to play. We will hold a Session 0 where we can create our characters together, flesh out our backgrounds, and have an initial introduction to the adventure. Once you join the game (and before session 0) I will send all of my players some materials via Discord to help you begin thinking about ideas for your characters and their backstories!

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
