Curse of Strahd + Darker Dungeons

About the adventure

In this campaign you, along with a few strangers will find yourselves in the unfamiliar land of Barovia. For weeks you've had strange dreams of a dark skinned elderly woman speaking to you in a dark tent. She speaks of many things, about you and your past, and about your future. She tells you to seek her in Barovia, so that she may reveal what fate has in store for you. Be ready to explore Barovia, and try to find a way to free these dark lands from the 400 year darkness that loomed over it. Can you be the ones to bring salvation to the people of Barovia? Or will you fall like the hundreds who came before you? It is up to only you. My games tend to change a fairly significant amount from published adventures, I like to make players feel important and impactful within the world and use the books more as a framework rather than a code to live by. Additionally we'll be using rules from Darker Dungeons by Giffyglyph, a marvelous collection of rules and systems usually meant for emulating more old-school grittiness in games. I don't envision the game to become gritty or feeling like a slog however I enjoy using certain parts of it to introduce a few additional things that can bring tension to the table, like the stress system which we'll likely be making use of. As far as character creation goes I'm fairly homebrew friendly and will say yes to most content that looks fun as long as I don't foresee it becoming problematic at the table. Ability scores will be generated through rolling 4d6 and dropping the lowest for each score assigning them in the order you wish. If your total comes out below point-buy you may reroll the whole set. How to prepare

We will be using roll20 for the game, if you are unfamiliar with the site I am happy to show you how it works. Beyond that we will be using Discord for communication, but you only need a mic for playing.

How will character creation work

Characters will start at level 1, any official race and class options are fair game. Attribute determination by rolling 4d6 dropping lowest, if total is bellow point-buy reroll the whole set. Homebrew options are welcome with approval from me.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
