About the adventure

Crossguard Hunters is an episodic campaign set in Windgrave, a land of eldritch secrets and gothic horrors. Monsters stalk the town limits, coming ever closer as they grow bolder. Danger lurks around every corner, and heroes are scarce. The players will take up the roles of hunters- monster slayers within the Crossguard guild, and many threats await them in the darkness. Will you step up to face your fears? or will you fall like those who came before you? The choice is yours. With each hunt comes difficult decisions, and your actions will decide the fate of the guild. All my games are a LGBT+ safe zone

How to prepare

You should have a free forge account with a basic idea of how to use foundry, fair knowledge of D&D 5e rules is appreciated for everyone's convenience! A discord account for voice is required, but you don't need a webcam. Having a character concept or two prepared is advised so that Session 0 runs smoothly.

What I provide

I bring just about every book on dndbeyond, and foundry via the forge! I am a very reactive DM and allow my players to tell the story together! I know the rules of the game by heart, but I do love to keep things cinematic and dramatic, and use the rule of cool when it applies. I love emphasizing roleplay and character driven storytelling! That said, I also love the tactical side of D&D and run some challenging combat encounters when the game calls for it!

Gameplay details

Character creation will be reviewed during Session 0, so that everyone has a chance to discuss their characters with each other and figure out why they are adventuring together- as well as figure out any connected backstories! When you're accepted into the campaign, feel free to send me your lines and veils so that I can make sure the experience is a comfortable one for everyone involved!

How will character creation work

Crossguard Hunters will start at level 8, with a slightly increased standard array of 15, 15, 14, 12, 10, 8. All characters get a free feat at level 1. Available races are humans, elves, dwarves, halflings, dragonborn, gnomes, tieflings, half-orcs, half-elves, hexbloods, dhampirs, reborn, aasimars, and goliaths. Think up three contacts your character would have, whether they be allies, rivals, or villians! If you think up more, that's fine too! Your character should have a long term goal and a few short term goals. If accepted into the game I'll send a lore document if you want to know more about the world I've created as a whole.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
