About the adventure

This game will be a playthrough of Critical Role's "Call of The Netherdeep" adventure with a prologue of "Unwelcome Spirits" from the "Explorer's Guide to Wildemount" sourcebook. The prologue adventure will start players off at level 1 and get them to level 3 for the main campaign which will take the players all the way to level 12. New and experienced players welcome! Character creation will be done during the first session (session 0). I will help with any character building or lore questions at anytime on the discord channel that doesn't get covered in session 0. Prologue: "Unwelcome Spirits" - While passing through the marsh village of Urzin, the players are asked to help with finding the village seer Bol'bara who has gone missing. The group is asked to find where she is and bring her back to Urzin safely. Main Campaign: "Call of The Netherdeep" - The group makes it's way to the city of Jigow to compete in the annual Festival of Merit. During the festival the group comes across a strange artifact that sets them on a path to save Exandria from a new threat.

How to prepare

Players will need to make sure that they have a decent microphone for voice chat. Discord will be used for voice chat. Video will not be required but if you wish to participate with video a webcam will be needed. Roll20 will be used for our virtual table top so a free Roll20 account will be needed. DnD beyond will be used for character sheets (also a free account). I have a subscription with DnD beyond so I will be able to share my source material. Dice will be rolled virtually in either DnD beyond or on Roll20.

What I provide

I will provide a fun immersive experience, a safe space to play D&D, music and soundscapes for atmosphere and tone, Roll20 and DnD beyond subscriptions.

Gameplay details

Session 0 will cover character creation and general rules and expectations for both players and DM. I will go over basic player etiquette and what you all can expect of me as far as providing you not just a fun experience, but also a safe one. I will give everyone a chance to speak up (no judgement) about any sensitive topics that could be uncomfortable that anyone would wish for me to avoid. I will also be available on Discord if anyone wishes to speak about that privately. I will also make it a point to check in with everyone after a session to see how everyone is feeling. I want all my players to feel welcome, included, seen, heard, etc. This will ensure everyone at the table is having a good time.

How will character creation work

As previously stated, character creation will happen during session 0. I recommend everyone have a couple of character ideas in mind beforehand so that we can try to have a relatively balanced party. I will be glad to help anyone that needs help navigating the character creation process.
