About the adventure

“I’m getting a signal.” Dalil’s voice crackled over the com. “We’re close.” The navigator gazed into the darkness ahead, his face ghostly pale in the cold glow from the tabula in his hands. Radwa nodded silently for her comrades to advance, approaching the strange ruins in the moonscape. The only sound they could hear was their own breathing through the air filters, and the soft crunch under their boots.The floodlights from the freighter Narzalus behind them cast long shadows of the trio. “Something is wrong, boss.” The sharp voice of Jhara broke the silence. Her vulcan rifle hummed as the tall woman from Sadaal activated her weapon. Without turning, Radwa raised her hand to still her friend. “Easy, Jha,” she whispered over the com. The explorers shone their suit-mounted flashlights over the ruins. Alien signs were carved into the smooth dark surfaces. In the light, they seemed to be glowing. Something slowly unraveled before them. A darkness rose from the surface of the dead moon, reaching towards the starry sky above them. “Mercy of the Icons!” Radwa gasped, and felt a chill spread throughout her body. ------------ Coriolis – The Third Horizon is a science fiction role playing game set in a remote cluster of star systems called The Third Horizon. It is a place ravaged by conflicts and war, but also home to proud civilisations, both new and old. Here, the so called First Come colonists of old worship the Icons, while the newly arrived Zenithians pursue an aggressive imperialistic agenda through trade and military power. In this game, you will crew a space ship and travel the Horizon. You will explore the ancient ruins of the Portal Builders, undertake missions for the powerful factions and partake in the game of political intrigue on Coriolis station – the centre of power in the Third Horizon. You might even encounter strange beings from the Dark Between the Stars. From the Monolith in the jungles of Kua to the floating temples of Mira, the Horizon is yours to explore. You can be traders, explorers, mercenaries, pilgrims or agents. Whatever your calling is, together you will make your own fate. In the end you might even discover the truth about the mysterious Emissaries and the threat of the Dark Between the Stars. Additional Details

How to prepare

Ideally, familiarity with any of Free League Publishing's Year Zero Engine games (i.e. Tales from the Loop, Forbidden Lands, ALIEN RPG, etc.). But honestly, the mechanics are so refreshingly intuitive that just a willingness to play in a deep, rich, cinematic game is all that is needed. Additionally, you will need a forge account, which can be created for free here (https://forge-vtt.com/), and a Discord account with a microphone.

What I provide

I will bring the game via Forge, including atmospheric music. Everything else will be provided within the virtual tabletop Foundry.

Gameplay details

This game is all about exploration of the unknown. The universe is large and full of unknown wonders and terrors. It draws many themes from Middle Eastern mythology, deviating greatly from the standard fare of Western-centric space marines tropes. You even begin play with your own spaceship! That's right, you're sailing through the galaxy right from the start. And that's a good thing, because that ship isn't free. Carve your own life as a space trucker, or maybe a mercenary. Whatever your dreams, you can find your niche in the world of Coriolis.

How will character creation work

We will have a session zero, where we create characters together as a group. We will also talk about what kind of game the group wants to play, whether that be a high-octane action game, or a more cerebral and introspective journey through the stars.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
