Learning Pathfinder 2e | Crown of the Kobold King

About the adventure

We will be running a short adventure within Golarion in 2e on a fully-loaded Foundry VTT! We can discuss themes, tone, and characters during the ongoing Session 0 on the Discord. There, we will run through the themes, goals, expectations, and etiquette for our table before jumping into character creation. I will help all those that require it, with no limitations when it comes to rarity or build choices. Once we are happy, I will make a custom token for you to use within the game. The Adventure: Crown of the Kobold King Variant Rules: - Free Archetype: take a Dedication to give another dynamic to your character - Critical Hit/Fumble Deck: Let's make those natural 20s count with extra effects! - Hero Point variant: Hero Points can be spent to add +6 to a d20 roll, or give me a -6 to one of my d20 rolls About Me: I am a Games Master with nearly a decade's worth of experience and have run a number of games in D&D, SWFFG, Starfinder, Lancer, Basic Fantasy, Pokemon Tabletop United, Blades in the Dark, and - my favourite so far - Pathfinder 2e. This hobby has somewhat taken over my life: be it my bi-weekly game that has been running for 6 years, various one-shots and mini-campaigns, play-by-post experiments, artwork, books... I'm rather enthusiastic. As my schedule has freed up somewhat, I now have space to run another Pathfinder 2e campaign using Foundry VTT's many bells and whistles to bring life to an already fantastic game. I like to see the rules as a launch-pad for creativity - allowing for Rule-of-Cool, Rules-as-Interpreted, and creative resolutions - with a flexible and tactical game that balances all the way from level 1 to the end-game. I'm passionate, friendly, accommodating, and patient. Whether you're a newbie or a seasoned vet, you're welcome at my table.

Additional Details

How to prepare

A mic and headphones are required to connect to Discord for our chat. Cams are optional (but encouraged! I'll have mine on), but all of the voice and video will be done on the Discord channel (link provided when you join the game). In terms of the VTT, all you need to do is click the link to the server. Simple as that! Character sheets are all there. The dice rollers on Foundry are all set up and ready to go (you can even customise their look!) or you can roll your own physical dice. Whatever works for you!

What I provide

I have maps, tokens, art, animated features on the VTT, a vibrant Discord server, pdfs for the rules, and the fully-loaded Foundry VTT set-up built up from the official Paizo release. I will be available as frequently as I can for questions, I am inclusive and allow for creative solutions, and I have a fairly extensive knowledge of the system. It is very fun!

Gameplay details

Players can get to learn a great tactical system or flex their experience with it in Pathfinder 2e. I take more inspiration from the games than the books, and will allow a "parralel-universe" feel to take some liberties with the setting if need be. There will be some exploration, mystery, and moral ambiguity to go alongside monster-slaying badassery. If a scene gets too much, if you have any questions, fears, concerns, or points of discussion, there is always an open conversation on the Discord. Please be honest and upfront, and we can all do our best to make this a welcoming and fun environment for all players! The X card is always available from the VTT, and you may also message me directly in the chat or on Discord.

How will character creation work

We will be building our characters over Discord before we begin. You can use Pathbuilder, Wanderers Guide, or just pen & paper (all free to use) and I'll upload them to Foundry VTT.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
