Character Creation and Adventure for a Beginner Player (A Game for the Whole Family)

About the adventure

Hello! And thank you for showing interest in this beginner game for the entire family! Dungeons and Dragons can be a perfect game to get the entire family laughing, strategizing, and rolling some dice all at the same table (or the same virtual table in some cases). In this game, I will walk everyone through how to create a character for a D&D game, and after that, we will get our dice rolling with a short one-shot adventure as well! I like my games to be full of goofs, laughs, and role-playing, with most of my attention going towards story-telling and character development. I am not a rules stickler, as I think it tends to slow down the best parts of the game. For this game, we won't use any maps for combat or adventure, we will keep it all in our imagination! If this seems like the game for the entire family, please book a session or reach out to me! Webcam and microphone on your device will be necessary. Otherwise, no need for anything else.

I will provide the link for our video chatting and a DnDBeyond subscription for you all to make characters.

Gameplay details

Before we play, we will discuss any topics, descriptions, or references that will be off limits for that game. At any time, a player can stop the scene or step away for the moment. Also when unexpected events arise that may be triggering, I will try my best to stop and ask everyone if it is okay for me to continue.

How will character creation work

We will first create characters on DnDBeyond.com. It would be helpful to have an account made before the session (which is free). Otherwise, bring your imagination about the character you would like to play!

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
