Candlekeep Mysteries - One Shots Set in D&D's Most Famous Library

Dungeons & Dragons 5e on Zoom

Dungeons & Dragons 5e

About the adventure

Candlekeep is a library of legendary proportions that is home to secrets, mysteries, wise scholars, strange artifacts and more books than there are planes in the multiverse. In Spring of 2021, Wizards of the Coast released a hardback anthology of adventures created by talented community creators set within the walls of Candlekeep. As a lover of realms lore and an avid bibliophile, I am excited to bring these adventures to life for players old and new to explore the hallowed halls of Candlekeep. What You'll Need: A DnDBeyond Account (it's free!) for Character Creation and Campaign Management, Zoom (free downloadable video* call software), a microphone for voice chat and a thirst for adventure. *Webcams are not required but encouraged! Who Am I: My name is Morri! I'm a professional game designer, creative writer, and game master. I've been running games professionally for five years and playing for over a decade. I've worked on two official D&D books and publish content online. I love incorporating my theater background into my gamemastery and would be excited to take you on your next adventure!

Gameplay details

Please have characters built using DnDBeyond to the appropriate level and use either the Standard Array or Point Buy method for ability score distribution. The session will run about 3 to 4 hours and begin with an introduction to establish player rapport. Gameplay will primarily use Theater of the Mind, but I will provide visual aids as needed throughout the session. I occasionally use a browser-based virtual tabletop called Owlbear Rodeo, which I would provide links to ahead of the session. After the session ends, I will go around so everyone can share their favorite moment and any feedback they have for me.

How will character creation work

Character creation will happen before the session. If you would like to use your own characters please have them built to the appropriate level using either the Standard Array or Point Buy methods for ability score generation. If you do not have a character built before the session, no worries! I'll have a few pre-generated character sheets prepared to select from.
