About the adventure

"Candlekeep attracts scholars like a flame attracts moths. Historians, sages, and other who crave knowledge flock to this library fortress to peruse its wast collection of books, scribbled in which are the answers to the mysteries that bedevil them. Many of these books contain their own mysteries - each one a doorway to adventure. Dare you cross that threshold?" We will be using Above VTT for tabletop combat and maps. This collection of mysteries in this adventure will take players from levels 1 to 16. Delve into a total of seventeen different mysteries and put your wits to the test.

How to prepare

Players will need a computer with an internet connection, a mic and a way to listen in, either speakers or headphones, a discord account, a dndbeyond account, both free. Join the campaign and the discord server using the provided links, and fill out the provided rpg consent checklist and return it to me. Install the free Above VTT plugin for Firefox or Chrome.

What I provide

I bring every book on dnd beyond providing all race, class, and character options for players, a dnd discord server, and a fun and engaging time!

Gameplay details

This game contains themes of battle, murder, probably ghosts, and reading. We will use various safety tools, including the X token and X message to keep players having fun and feeling safe. Dungeons and Dragons is a fun game of cooperation and adventure. As such, no player characters can be an evil alignment, and players shouldn't create drama unnecessarily or take agency away from each other. Be respectful and kind to your fellow players and your dungeon master.

How will character creation work

Character creation will happen on D&D Beyond and start at level 1, you will be sent a link to join the campaign and gain access to every resource necessary to create your character. We will be using the heroic array (18,16,14,12,10,8) for ability scores. This will happen during a free session 0.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
