About the adventure

“ Candlekeep Mysteries is a collection of seventeen short, stand-alone D&D adventures designed for characters of levels 1-16. Each adventure begins with the discovery of a book, and each book is the key to a door behind which danger and glory await. These adventures can be run as one-shot games, plugged into an existing Forgotten Realms campaign, or adapted for other campaign settings." This game is private campaign that composes of 10 epic mysteries. Players will start at level 3.

Additional Details

How to prepare

At the very least, you will use voice chat over Discord and headphones. It is recommended to have a laptop or PC as it will be difficult to play through a phone alone. Players can bring their own dice or use virtual dice. We will be using the trust system for dice results.

What I provide

We will be using Owlbear Rodeo for all visuals and combat encounters. I will have my own dice. I will also include ambient music and many NPC voices.

Gameplay details

This game includes using the XO-Card system. The XO-Card is an index card with an X drawn on one side and an O on the other side. When a player is uncomfortable with the content for any reason (including phobias, PTSD, and/or many more), they hold up the X side of the card and show it to the DM. If the DM is confident that they know why they should move on, they do so. If I don’t know why, I might skip ahead to move things on. If they hold up the O side, it means that the player is enjoying what is happening and want more of that particular content. Content warning: Blood, violence and death. Additional content warnings will be discussed with the players and the DM will make any necessary changes to the story

How will character creation work

All players will start at level 5, with full access to all published Wizards of the Coast content (Unearthed Arcana will be used on a case by case basis). It is required for characters to create their own characters beforehand.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
