About the adventure

Candela Obscura follows an esoteric order of investigators as they use centuries of knowledge to fight back a mysterious source of Magick. This is a mature rated Gothic Victorian themed experience where the stakes are incredibly high and combat comes with real danger and intensity. Eldritch horror mixed with ancient dangerous Magicks not fully understood abound in this dark fantasy campaign universe. Narrative and story are most important to me however setting the visual mood is very powerful in this kind of experience which is why I've put the effort into offering visuals as well. My game is a unique experience in that certain pieces of the investigations are completely visual. Just like in the thumbnail above you will be able to explore gothic mansions. Ethereal cityscapes and otherworldly places all using the power of unreal 5. Important items will also be completely rendered in 3d for you to inspect. This is in all essence a ttrpg played with highly unique visual elements to ensure everyone's imagination is on the same page. All you need to do before hand is read the quickstart guide and free rules available here but I will also teach you how to play. This is a completely immersive bespoke experience with highly social elements. All of the groups share an existing campaign world and your choices and consequences can effect the city and even other groups. Everything done between the groups will persistently exist within the same shared campaign space and you will be able on downtime roleplay with other investigators as well. Investigators will able to confer with each other outside of there prospective groups. You will even be able to meet others outside of your own personal investigation group. There will also be opportunities to join other Candela Obscura cells within the same campaign world allowing you to build a network of friends socially within the space. Something important to note is that everything done between the groups will persistently exist within the same shared campaign space and you will be able on downtime roleplay with other investigators as well via discord. This is the beginning of a living world were legends will be born and accomplishments and failures truly matter. How to prepare

What I provide

Unreal 5 sets. Professional streaming setup our games however will be private but you will be able to get an archive of the session that you can watch later once this is fully setup. All the rules needed to play as well as character sheets All Investigators that play with me for a year will get a truly epic yearly campaign gift commissioned and crafted to represent a real world item from the campaign world. Ask me about this so I can show you examples.

Gameplay details

This is a mature game steeped in Edritch horror. I will have a very detailed free session 0 going into what to expect and the intensity levels of this game to ensure that everyone is a good fit. Expect a narrative steeped in intrigue and mystery where choices and deeds matter at the highest levels. As far as content warnings there are way too many things to list in this kind of game for that reason I will have indepth conversations with players before we begin to ensure good fits all around. I as the GM set the stage and the players ultimately lead the narrative choices. This is game where truly anything can happen but group dynamics still exist and for that reason certain negative behaviors will be completely off-limits. I will go into these in your session 0.

How will character creation work

We will create characters in session 0. I will also go over any rules questions you may have as well as all necissary information about the campaign and world your character is living in ect.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
