About the adventure
This beginner friendly game is aimed at teaching the mechanics of Critical Role's new TTRPG Candela Obscura. This occult horror game follows the starting adventure of the quickstart guide with a few of my own modifications. Players have been called to investigate the collapse of a woman wearing a glowing green dress at the Newfaire World Exhibition...

How to prepare
Players will need to have a decent microphone, a Roll20 account, and stable internet access. If you enjoy rolling physical dice you'll need nine six-sided dice. Three of these dice should be of a separate color from the others and will act as your "Gilded Dice". You can also use a digital dice roller if you don't have enough physical dice. It's a good rule of thumb to read through the rules ahead of time if possible but not necessary, I'm happy for you to learn as we go.
What I provide
I will prepare the world and the adventure for you as well as all available visual aids. The game will primarily be theater of the mind so we won't be using maps for this.
Gameplay details
I will conduct a digital session 0 via group chat on Discord prior to the game session. A link to the lines and veils document will be provided to each player to complete. I will compile and go over the table boundaries for the session as well as any questions players have about the setting or mechanics prior to the game. We will be using Roll20 for visual aids and a digital version of the X card system will be provided.
