About the adventure

An introductory scenario for Call of Cthulhu. No experience necessary. This scenario is for one to two players. "It is the summer of 1922. You are visiting Thomas Kimball, an old friend and 'brother in arms' from the Great War after becoming concerned for his well being. The three of you served together in the same batallion, signing up during the 'Pals Batallions Recruitment Drive' (originally devised by Lord Derby and then instituted at a national level by Lord Kitchener). During the war you were amongst the few men in your batallion that survived the 'Big Push' and the Battle of the Somme in 1916. At the end of the war, each came home bearing both physical scars, and less visible mental ones. Thomas was particulary affected and suffered greatly from the effects of shell-shock. Several months ago Thomas moved to the small coastal town of Ravenscar on the North Yorkshire coast, taking up residence in a house once owned by his Uncle Douglas Kimball. Everyone was sure that the change would prove beneficial to both his mental and physical health, but of late Thomas' demeanor has been cause for concern."
