About the adventure

Welcome to the Calimport Pit Fights! It's a time after the Second Era of Skyfire in Calimport. The Windsoul Genasi, who had forced all races—including humans to participate in gladiatorial games, are gone. But now, in the lower areas of Calimport, there are those who fight for Gold and Glory. Do you have what it takes? This is a D&D5e experience that you can jump in for a short bit of fun and every time, you will have a different experience, why? we are battling each other! There are 2 divisions: 2-person team and Solo. You must compete in both. See Character Creation and Game rules for more information.

Gameplay details

Rules of Combat: PCs will fight in teams of 2, randomly assigned. The winners (if both survive) will be divided and fight on opposing sides next time. Teams will alternate combat order. After rolling for initiative, the player with the highest roll will go first, followed by the player on the opposing side with the highest roll. Then the remaining player on the first side, then the remaining player on the opposing side. After passing through the gate, each player has a full turn before the fight begins. You cannot use your movement to go beyond the pillars toward the opposing side. During this round no attacks or spells can be cast on the opposing side, nor can any player do anything that has an effect beyond the closest pillars. Spells that involve deception / illusion must have a clear game mechanic that does not require role play or DM’s discretion: e.g. Phantasmal Force cannot fool an opposing player into thinking a goblin is in the arena, but the spell could have the indicated damage effect. Minor Illusion, on the other hand, has a clear mechanical use that does not require role playing. One day passes between the battles. All temp HP is lost. All spells/HP regained. WARNING: I do my best to provide a safe environment where all are welcome. The fights I run are generally G to PG in nature and meant to be a fun sideline that doesn't take an incredible commitment. With that in mind, sportsman like conduct is a must. The environment is one of mutual respect. There will be no harassment, witch hunting, sexism, or salacious activity or speech tolerated. No spamming or promotion. No NSFW or obscene content. This includes text, images, links featuring nudity, sex, hard violence, or other graphic content of a disturbing nature. No profanity. I reserve the right to remove anyone who creates an unsafe environment for myself or other players.
