About the adventure

Prepare for a daring quest to liberate a village trapped under the tyranny of fire giants! Once a peaceful haven near Lord Darren Endelmere's keep, it now lies in ruins, its people enslaved by merciless giants. The path to redemption leads you through Mount Oblivion, a foreboding realm of fiery craters, treacherous rocks, and toxic tunnels. As heroes, your mission is to infiltrate the obsidian mine, free the captive villagers, and restore hope to the land. Mount Oblivion stands tall, its angry crater spewing flames illuminating the sky. Like the teeth of a slumbering monster, jagged rocks adorn the walls, casting an eerie darkness over the landscape. But the true horror lies within the mine, where fire giants oversee their wicked obsidian operation. Villagers toil under their watchful eyes, their lives consumed by forced labor. Answering the desperate call for heroes from Lord Darren Endelmere, you venture deep into Mount Oblivion, navigating treacherous landscapes and labyrinthine tunnels. Deadly gases and harrowing obstacles test your mettle, but your determination remains unyielding. Within the depths of the mine, clashes erupt between your party and the fearsome fire giants. Their towering presence and blazing weapons pose a formidable challenge, but you fight with valor and skill. Each victory brings you closer to freeing the villagers and dismantling the giants' reign of terror. The fate of an entire village rests in your hands. This 3-4 hour adventure is a challenging high-level one-shot for 4-5 level 15 characters.

How to prepare

You will need; A Discord account and a microphone. If you have a webcam that's great, but it's not required. An account on Roll20 and D&D Beyond. Both are free. Install the Beyond 20 extension to send your dice rolls to Roll20. https://wiki.roll20.net/Beyond20 And your pre-created character in D&D Beyond

What I provide

I'll bring the adventure, maps and tokens in Roll20, which is the virtual table top used for this adventure. Various sourcebooks and modules in D&D Beyond and Roll20. A discord server instance.

Gameplay details

We'll be using Discord for voice communication, webcam video is appreciated but optional. At any time, you can send me a Discord private message or speak up in the Discord voice channel if any game content makes you feel uncomfortable or if you need a time out. We will have a break around halfway through the session but you are always welcome to step away at any time if necessary. Self-care is important. After the session, we'll have a chance to chat and make sure everyone is ok. This is a fairly classic D&D encounter with combat and roleplay elements and as such there are usually some descriptions of attacks against foes and how they are killed.

How will character creation work

Create a character on DnDBeyond and join the campaign, allowing you to change your character and pick from any source books, classes and feats that I have unlocked. You get standard starting equipment, two greater healing potions, and 15,000 gold to buy any other non-magical equipment you want and up to two (non-legendary) items from the list of sane magical item prices.
