About the adventure

Welcome to Burning Daylight, an adventure for Roll20’s original roleplaying game, Burn Bryte. A system for any experience level, this adventure contains everything you need to play the game including: Five pregenerated starting characters Quickstart rules to help you play the game Safety Tools Handouts and more! Burn Bryte is a sci-fi fantasy game about hope against all odds, and doing what’s right, even as the Universe burns around you. The mechanics are all about telling stories with giant highs, and terrifying oh-crap-we-broke-our-spaceship-lows. The Ozobny System is a small, cold, once-lifeless rock orbiting a dying star. Its central position in the galaxy made it a desirable place to live as the Burn closed in, and the planet managed to avoid martial conflict due to its lack of resources. The five overguilds rule Ozobny together, whose single city spans the entire surface of the planet. It is a playground for the wealthy, filled with casinos, fine dining, and other pleasures where people pay to forget about the troubles of the world. What adventures await?

How to prepare

Players will need a free account with Roll20 and Discord. Webcam is useful but not needed, however you will need some type of microphone. No equipment needs to be high quality. Dice can be rolled digitally on Roll20 and all the rules and handouts are provided.

Gameplay details

Content Warning: Alcohol and Drug mention, Fire, Explosions, Lasers, Terrorism Attack, Cult, Abduction, and Violence There is always potential to lead into themes and subjects that make players feel uncomfortable or unsafe in narrative games. For this reason, we will be utilizing the built in safety deck (anonymous Red, Green, Yellow cards) in Roll20 and open the table preemptively for whispers to the GM for subjects that are sensitive or hard to manage using a Lines and Veils system that will be explained before play starts.

How will character creation work

This is an intro One-shot and will be utilizing pregenerated characters that will be handed out on a first come first serve basis.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
