About the adventure

Burn Bryte is an original science fantasy Tabletop Roleplaying Game optimized for and created by Roll20. The players build heroes who live in the ever-shrinking Olaxis Galaxy, which is consumed by an existence-end phenomenon called The Burn. As Olaxis’s creeping edge swallows entire solar Systems, refugees struggle to find homes and resources, and the Wealthy exploit the panic for profit, the player Characters dare to hope and fight for what’s right in the face of oblivion. You can make a difference. Burn Bryte is a game about hope against all odds, and doing what’s right, even as the Universe burns around you. The mechanics are all about telling stories with giant highs, and terrifying oh-crap-we-broke-our-spaceship-lows.

Gameplay details

Burning Daylight follows the party on the planet Ozobny, a small world filled with all the pleasures and relaxation the PCs could want between jobs. As the PCs are enjoying their downtime, members of Daylight arrive terrorizing the planet and kidnapping its people. It’s up to the heroes to stop the plans of Daylight and save the innocents from the flames of Goulmock! Content warning: Fire, Kidnapping, Terrorist Attack For safety, I use tools called lines and veils and safety cards. Lines and veils are used to set boundaries on content in a game. Lines are hard limits on content, things that the GM or the players don’t want to engage in. Setting up a line means that content won’t show up in the game at all. Veils are soft limits, things that are ok “behind a curtain” or when they “cut-to-black.” Setting up a veil means that the content might be in the game but not spotlighted or described in great detail. Lines and veils can be adjusted as needed throughout the game. Safety cards ( keep going, slow down, stop) will be available on the VTT at all times. I have a zero tolerance policy on the following in or out of game: SEXUAL ASSAULT (OF ANY KIND) RACISM / HOMOPHOBIA / SEXISM
