Boss Battle: Orbit of the Starkeeper

About the adventure

Fly into a battlefield on top of great asteroids and challenge the Starkeeper—a high celestial summoned to end a war by dropping an entire cluster of meteors onto several city-states. You will be part of a small group of adventurers called to stop this atrocious plan. Through the use of celestial magics that require scarce material components, you are sent flying skyward into direct confrontation with the celestial. The enchantment allowed you all to breathe up there, but otherwise it's all or nothing. It's a nigh suicidal plan against a foe that might be beyond you. --- This is a boss battle game that's great for old or new players of D&D. Experience a tense and climatic boss battle while adrift in space. Create your own character or choose from one of several pre-made characters with handy guides on ways to use them. This is a one-shot fight to the death. Do your best to face this challenge!

How to prepare

Players should have a good mic. Players should also have a Discord account and Roll20 account ready to go. A Discord server invite will be given to players to join when they're approved.

What I provide

I will bring everything else to the table, including a variety of pixel art maps and tokens.

Gameplay details

Narration and gameplay content will be largely PG-13, but players are unrestricted and the narrative will adapt to player actions. Additional safety tools available on request.

How will character creation work

Characters will start at level 10. Custom characters should be prepared before the session begins. Pre-made characters are also available for use based on what the player wants to play. Character sheets should be on one of the following platforms: GSheet 2.1, DnD Beyond, or Dicecloud. Characters are level 10 with standard array or point buy for stats (default rules, 27 points). Characters get 2 magic items at or below "very rare" rarity, 4 magic items of common rarity, and 12,000 gp to keep or spend on any mundane items with official prices. No modern/futuristic items. Characters can be any race of class from official sources. Contact the DM for UA races and classes.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
