About the adventure

After a catastrophic attack fifty years before the events of the campaign from an invading force of aliens referred to only as the Exterrors, countries across the globe have joined forces to institute a line of exemplary training academies to raise a generation of super-powered people, known as the Golden Generation, to serve as warriors for justice and a potential defense force against a future Exterror attack. Your characters are freshmen, entering the North American Academy of Superpowered Excellence. Their backgrounds may be scattered - possibly winning the Super Lottery, perhaps coming from a line of heroes, or otherwise - but they all arrive for their first day of class, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. This campaign is heavily influenced by a variety of comics and Shonen manga, such as obvious influences like the Teen Titans and My Hero Academia, and certain novels such as Ender's Game, but does not take place in any of these worlds or environments. It does, however, emulate as many of the themes present in these media as possible. Stories about friendship, overcoming the odds, and grand displays of power and perseverance abound; whole-hearted corniness mixed with a little slice-of-life high school environment.

How to prepare

You'll only need a mic, a basic understanding of the Mutants and Masterminds 3rd Edition rules, and preferably a finished Power Level 8 character sheet and concept. Roll20 may be used, but it is not required at this time.

What I provide

Fitting adventure music, reference images, and location schematics.

Gameplay details

Games will be heavy in both role-playing and combat, with many sessions dedicated to specific scenarios to overcome. Inter-character relationships will be extremely important.

How will character creation work

The campaign can hit the ground running, just bring a finished character sheet (at a power level of 8) and a fleshed out character idea. The story begins on welcoming day for freshman students, and our first session will be their first challenge as prospective super heroes. If you need help with the system feel free to contact me; if a majority of players are new to the system, though, we may need to have a 'session 0' to make sure everyone is up to speed.
