About the adventure

In the overcrowded streets of Doskvol most have to accept a life of poverty and drudgery. Not you though, you deserve better. You have a specific set of skills honed by hardship. An iron will fuelled by desperation. A crippling vice to take the edge off. You are a scoundrel and you, with your crew, will rise to infamy in the burgeoning underworld of Doskvol. Take on daring heists in a city without Sun . Starting as a fledgeling criminal association, you will face greedy slum-lords, pompous nobles and twisted cultists while you rob, assassinate and scheme your way to the top in the ruthless world of greed and corruption. Find what makes you humane, better than others - or succumb to the violence and malice surrounding you. Blades in the Dark is a story game where the daring feats and the risks the players take create the story. There are no premade dungeons or carefully plotted story lines. Doskvol is your sandbox, you decide what challenges to invoke, how to get ahead and what complications will you overcome. Take advantage of the flashback system to twist situations to your advantage and escape certain death through resistance if you wish - or take the Devil's bargain and succeed at a terrible price. Most importantly: craft an unforgettable adventure with exceptional level of player control!

Additional Details

How to prepare

You will need a microphone and internet access. Webcam and physical dice are optional. If you want, you can take a look at the rules or some actual plays of Blades in the Dark. If you want to get into the mood before game, you can read books, such as Six of Crows or watch some heist movies and series (I would recommend Leverage).

What I provide

I will bring all the digital assets needed and a Bag of Holding full of complications and twists to make your heist more exciting.

Gameplay details

Lines and Veils will be discussed before game and reiterated at the start of the games. At session 0 we will discuss the crew concept and create the characters together.

How will character creation work

We will start the campaign with a fresh crew and fresh characters. I am happy to bring a few premade characters that can be further customized or modified, or you can build your character from scratch.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
