Blackpowder Borderlands

About the adventure

It is a time of sweeping changes and great upheavals. Proud old feudal dynasties compete for power and influence against rising merchant guilds and self-made "new families." Ancient empires scheme against and even openly clash with burgeoning young republics. Plate-armored knights charge into battle against common-born soldiers armed with new-fangled blackpowder weapons. And through it all, the undying call to adventure still echoes. Adventurers plunge into the ancient ruins of half forgotten civilizations, or hunt down bandit kings and renegade wizards. Some brave souls hunt the ferocious monsters that roam the wilder regions of the world in order to harvest their parts for potion ingredients and spell components. The Borderlands have long drawn brave or foolish adventurers into the no-man's-land between kingdoms, but in recent years villages and towns have begun springing up in the region, offering a better base of operations for exploring the local ruins or hunting local monsters than was previously available. Of course, these growing towns and their fiercely asserted independence have drawn both the attention and the ire of older, more established nations.

How to prepare

Players will need a mic and are strongly encouraged to both read the rules (which are available for free on Archives of Nethys) and to make a Roll20 account. We'll be using the Roll20 character sheets, although players are welcome to use their own sheets as well if they so choose. Also, please select an image for your character's token.

What I provide

I will be making character tokens through a free website with the images the players provide. Roll20's dice roller will provide the dice, and all maps will be on Roll20

How will character creation work

Character Creation will occur during Session Zero and between Session Zero and Session One. If the group chooses Pathfinder 1e, then characters will be starting at level 3 with standard level 3 wealth and a 25 point buy. If the group chooses Pathfinder 2e, then characters will be starting at level 1.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
