About the adventure

There is an evil that haunts these lands. A monster terrorizes the town of Gyle. Whole families have gone missing. Homesteads have been ravaged and left soaked in blood and gore. There have been no survivors. Small clues have mystified the local constable. The towns priest has locked and barred the doors to the church and hasn't been heard from in days. A pestilence has fallen over the inhabitants of Gyle. Old wise men speak of an ancient curse that has finally come back to haunt them. A revenge for something terrible that was done here. The innocent cry out, but their pleas are left unanswered. Will you be able to solve this diabolical mystery and break the curse? Or will you become the monsters next victim? Imagine a D&D game combined with Call of Cthulhu/Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark/ and an in depth psychological thriller. I want this game to be cinematic in nature. We describe action as you would if you were watching a scene from a movie. Roleplaying and character development are a BIG DEAL here. We ALWAYS speak in character. This game is mature and dark. You have been warned.

Additional Details

How to prepare

You should have discord installed and be in my private server a day prior to our game. A working microphone and camera for use in discord. Have an idea of what type of character you want to play(Fighter/Rogue/Magic User). Have something in mind for a backstory, we will work together to flesh it out. Email Blacksungamingpresents@gmail.com prior to our game session to work on your character sheet (the sooner the better/at least a day before our game).

What I provide

I will bring a virtual dice roller and thematic background music for your mystery of terror. There will be maps and pictures that can be used and viewed right through our private game discord.

How will character creation work

Character creation can be done on D&D Beyond or from the 5e Players Handbook. We are using the BASE standard array or point buy system. Once you sign up for the game, you will receive a more detailed letter on character creation and the world. I would, ideally, like to have your character and a correspondence at least a day prior to our scheduled session.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
