About the adventure

Driving past the Hotel Nocturne everything seems normal at a cursory glance from the road. All of the letters of the neon sign are now lit up to read HOTEL, the O and T having been recently replaced. Sitting serendipitously on the outskirts of town, the Hotel Nocturne offers refuge to those seeking more than just a good nights sleep. Its rich history is filled with murderous events and nefarious dealings. The Hotels ledger is teeming with "famous" celebrity names, for those who look for the historically damaged and deranged. There are also rumblings, in the paranormal community, about this location being a goldmine of activity, but oddly nothing has ever been recorded. It is said that the Hotel is like a causeway between this life and the next. A bridge between life and death. Here, for the right price, one can achieve just about anything. Talk to a long dead relative? Have a glimpse of where you are headed in the afterlife? Or maybe you want to learn how to play the guitar better than anyone else ever has? These are mere parlor tricks the famous location has to offer. There are dark whispers that you may even bring someone back from the dead. Or perhaps you may be interested in saving that tarnished soul you are carrying around? Whatever has brought you to our door this evening, just know that we aim to make your stay as memorable as possible. Our illustrious staff is here to help you with all of your "needs". Additional Details

How to prepare

You should have discord installed and be in my private server a day prior to our game (or as close as we can get). A working microphone and camera for use in discord. Email Blacksungamingpresents@gmail.com prior to our game session to work on your character sheet (the sooner the better/at least a day before our game).

What I provide

I will bring a virtual dice roller and thematic background music for your paranormal experience. There will be maps and pictures that can be used and viewed right through our private game discord.

Gameplay details

You will be playing as a member on a paranormal research team. This team is tasked with finding and recording evidence of activity at the Hotel Nocturne. We will immediately establish an email thread as members of the team join. We will develop roles for each member and a history of the specific paranormal team that you are on. We can go into many different directions from here and I want you to decide, as a group, what you would like to accomplish per session. Do you want to explore a mystery? Fight an entity? Or explore what the hotel can offer you? These are things we will work out prior to our session day. This is a very open playstyle where you, the player, get to have some real agency over the game and its trajectory.

How will character creation work

Characters will be created prior to our game session. We will use a slightly modified D&D 5e character sheet. Character creation isn't beholden to any strict ruleset. I want you to be what you WANT to be.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
