About the adventure

Welcome to Rapture. The golden age of Andrew Ryan's metropolis is upon you, and by the sweat of your brow, Rapture could be your city as well. Bioshock is a capitalist hell-scape with a fine coating of gold paint, filled with seemingly endless cocktail parties. Enjoy strong themes of cooperate espionage, scientific experimentation, and neighborly "love" while trying to complete slice-of-life quests that relate to your backstory! Blast away your woes with a torrent of explosive Incinerate grenades and watch as the fireworks fly with real-time animated spell effects! You will be playing in Rapture during the events prior to the first game before it all turned bad. Using hand made 3d digital battle-maps from Dungeon Alchemist made by myself for use specifically for this game, you will explore the labyrinths of Rapture's social scenes as well as its flooded ruins. Featuring the original cast of NPCs, as well as all your favorite enemies such as Splicers and Big Daddies. Play a citizen of Rapture at the height of Bioshock's golden age, experience the pristine gilded locations from the original game restored to all of their glory by using new assets as well as photoshop to bring Rapture to life at all times! Use the Call of Cthulhu rules to utilize home made weapons, and Plasmids to fight off the declining Splicers that have begun to emerge in the hidden corners of the city. Avoid insanity at the sight of the horrors of Bioshock, or from the addiction of ADAM use, if you can bear the stress of life 20k leagues under the sea. Complete quests for the popular NPCs from the original games, or new ones from YOUR backstory. Play out your Bioshock fantasy with an avid Bioshock RPer DM. Won't you join me, beyond the sea?

How to prepare

I prefer a learn-as-you-go approach for new players, and I will instruct game play as it happens. If you have any questions before hand my Discord Inbox is always open. You do not need any software or accounts to begin other than your SPG account. Foundry will be used and is free, in your browser of choice. You should bring art for your character! Join the Discord! A link will be sent to you automatically when you join! Players must have a good audio capture device such as a headset. If you wish to appear on video, a webcam or other video capture device is required. A stable internet connection is required.

Gameplay details

Use the d100 system Pulp Call of Cthulhu 7E for fast paced descriptive scenes! Combat is fast, intelligent, and deadly! Death however is not the end as Bioshock includes resurrections! Homebrew Plasmid and Tonic powers allow you to use all the content of the original Bioshock Games! Your backstory will be used to greatly add to the game and your quests! Beginners to RP and the CoC7E system are WELCOME! I love new players! New players can be added to the ongoing story easily and will get their own equal share of activities to do! I ENCOURAGE players to join this game at ANY time!

How will character creation work

Players should either have a backstory in mind, or a minimal understanding of the Bioshock universe so that I can assist with the creation of a story. Characters can be made at the table in my Discord, or brought premade (I will inspect them in order to assure that everyone is made equally). If you want me to make a character for you using your concept I will do that! Once you have joined the discord, I will direct you to all of the important information documents and the homebrew mechanics as well as the link you will use to connect to the game.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
