About the adventure

players from a mysterious circus on the Material Plane into the whimsical plane of the fey. The book follows the tale of the Witchlight Carnival and their shenanigans throughout the Feywild. Players are tasked with figuring out the cause of a dark presence that has overtaken the fey realm of Prismeer. The book features a Disneyland-esque carnival, a realm of fairies, hare-people, singing mushrooms, anthropomorphic frogs, and more. The story focuses on collaborative problem solving over combat, which makes it a good introduction for kids. I've decided to use the Exalted system rather than D&D 5e because Exalted supports social and investigation magic much better than D&D. D&D character sheets are a lengthy description of how you can do damage, so a campaign about social interactions and puzzle solving is not a good fit for the system. Exalted has as many social-based spells as it does combat-based spells.

How to prepare

1. You need a working webcam and a mic. Make sure to test they are configured correctly on Discord before the game. 2. Join my Discord server using this link. We'll discuss in the #exalted-witchlight channel https://discord.gg/W3EcqJXe7f 3. I will send you a Foundry Link through our channel the day of the game.

What I provide

I'll bring all the plot, story setting, maps, and my decades of experience. You'll have a great time.

Gameplay details

Before each session we'll give a quick run down of our lines (things that won't happen) and veils (things that will be skimmed over). If anything becomes an issue we can talk about it in game and alter accordingly. I check in with my players at the end of every session to make sure the style and tone matches what people are looking for. My main goal is always for everyone to have fun. I memorize all the rules of the game and then I pay attention to what players care about to know when to bend the rules in favor of character spotlights.

How will character creation work

This games is designed to be very friendly to new players and episodic in nature, similar to the older Star Treks or Stargate. I always have on hand pre-generated characters or you can bring your own level 2 character.
