About the adventure

🔥The Story: Your story begins in the iconic city of Baldur's Gate, a mist-cloaked metropolis on the Sword Coast. It’s a diverse and boisterous trade hub, run by an arrogant upper class, and a corrupt government. Ambitious newcomers arrive every day, with pockets ripe for the taking. While, on the outside trade of goods may look like the cornerstone of the city, knowledge is power, and those with it are dangerous. Lies hide around every corner, and the city deals in secrets or blood as much as gold, if not more. You've just recently begun your adventuring career, but you're already tied up in an infernal plot that could shake the landscape of the Sword Coast forever. Worship of dark gods and evil entities is not uncommon in Baldur's gate, but lately the deeds of the cult following of the Dead Three have gotten out of hand. One way or another, you've recently heard about Duke Ulder Ravengard's upcoming diplomatic mission to meet with Elturel’s High Overseer, Thavius Kreeg and request help on the subject. With the grand duke and leader of the city's mercenary militia gone, who knows what kind of mayhem will erupt in Baldur's gate? Get ready for a high-tension adventure full of political subterfuge, and play your part in the multiversal blood war! Will you resist the charm of politicians and devils, or will you be enticed by the ultimate temptations of power? 🎲 Character Creation: This heroic Dungeons & Dragons adventure book takes players from level 3-13. The game will provide ample space for non-combat choices and character development, but will also include high-intensity combat. With themes including good vs evil, power and corruption, as well as faith vs doubt, there are plenty of opportunities for compelling characters. All players will get together for a free session 0 to create characters. I will work with you all through improv and rolls to create characters with a shared history, ties to the world, and stakes in story events. In the week following session 0 we will schedule a free ~30 minute one-on-one discord session to dive deeper into your character's backstory and goals. How to prepare

You will need the following basics in order to play: • Access to a laptop or desktop computer. • Mic and headphones to prevent feedback and echoes. • Discord (free) to communicate • Roll20 account (free) • Open mind ready to play! Once you sign up, fill out the google forms survey, join the discord server and roll20 game (links below, or I will send them to you on Discord). Then, if you have extra time, you can think about what kind of character you might want to play. Don't come to session 0 set on a specific character because we will do a lot of the character building in session 0 to tie the whole party together. Gameplay details

I will send a google form before session 0 to gather personal and gameplay preferences. This includes lines, veils, and hopes for the adventure. I will go over all the safety tools in session 0, including anonymously stating the lines and veils I've been provided and asking if we need to add anymore.
