Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus
Dungeons & Dragons 5e on Discord, Foundry VTT
About the adventure
Our story begins in the independent city of Baldur’s Gate, where the characters find themselves trapped behind the city’s walls after the gates are sealed to keep out hundreds of refugees from the neighboring land of Elturgard. However, the gates can’t hold back news that Elturgard’s capital has fallen, and that Grand Duke Ulder Ravengard of Baldur’s Gate is missing — lost on a diplomatic mission to Elturel. The fact that Elturel’s misfortune coincided with Ravengard’s visit has left Baldurians wondering whether Baldur’s Gate will suffer Elturel’s fate. Delving into the darkest side of a dark city, and eventually winding up wandering the first plane of Hell in search of a way to save a fallen city, Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus takes characters on an epic, city-saving journey that goes far beyond the standard romp around Faerun. Literally besieged on all sides, the adventure can be dark and dangerous at times and you can never know when or where it might be safe to find rest... Characters start out at 1st level in this inter-planar delve. We'll be building ourselves into the fabric of Baldur's Gate and the surrounding region during our Session 0 event.
How to prepare
Microphone is a definite must as we will be communicating via Discord. Everything else we'll be taking care of during our Session 0.
What I provide
I provide the virtual tabletop and all D&D Beyond material.
Typical sessions will involve exploration, mystery solving, and fighting galore. Besieged in Hell by mid-levels, the characters will struggle to find a moments rest as they strive to solve the mystery of their situation and save Elturel.

How will character creation work
Characters will start at 1st level (or 5th if we determine by group consensus to skip the Baldur's Gate portion of the adventure) and will be created on DND Beyond prior to Session 1. I share all the published books via DND Beyond with my players, so you can ask for anything!
