Baldurs Gate: Descent into Avernus

About the adventure

The Archduke of Avernus, has concocted a scheme that could tip the scales of the eternal blood war in hells favour. All she needs is a near endless supply of mortal souls. Her eye has fallen on Baldur’s Gate. And the only thing standing in her way is you. Descent into Avernus starts as a grim detective story, and slowly transforms into an insane, action packed journey through the most heavy metal setting in the forgotten realms. It’s both a grimdark exploration of corruption, and a wild ride through a crazy setting. In short, it’s going to be metal as hell.

How to prepare

I like to give my players these questions prior to signing them on. They are: - What is the worst thing your character has ever done? - What is your characters greatest fear - What is your characters phobia? - What is your character willing to go through hell for? No webcam required but it is a plus. A cursory understanding of the rules would be preferred but if you are brand new and need some extra time to learn the rules, I can help with that.

What I provide

A fully fleshed out campaign, including custom maps and music. Acting, writing and professional storytelling experience. A foundry server fully kitted out with all the bells and whistles (automation modules anyone?) and a whole bunch of enthusiasm. Descent into Avernus is a fantastic module that I have run almost 4 times now. It's a fun, dark, twisted little romp through a fascinating setting, with some of the most unique experiences in 5e all bundled into one story. The game runs from levels 1-13 and I promise you'll have a good time.

Gameplay details

I like a good mix of RP and combat. I always make an effort to integrate your character and backstory into the campaign world and give you motivation beyond what is expected of you in the book.

How will character creation work

I use an improved standard array (17,15,13,12,10,8) for stats. Once we have a full party we will arrange a session 0 to go over table rules and discuss how your characters know each other. I'll work with you out of session to flesh out your character and inform you about the world they inhabit.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
