About the adventure

'The bustling city of Baldur's Gate is preparing for Returning Day, celebrated to commemorate the hero Balduran after his return from the continent of Anchorome. This holiday, once banned after a violent incident that killed the Archduke a decade prior, is now revived by a new generation of cautiously optimistic citizens. Under the strict supervision of the Upper City Watch and the Flaming Fist mercenaries, the patriars of Baldur's Gate want to ensure the marketplace will be the safest location within the city walls.' 'It's the perfect cover. No one will expect a simple noble's house to be robbed on a day like this.' **** A heist one-off session set in the Forgotten Realms city of Baldur's Gate. Players will embark on a classic breaking-and-entering mission to steal valuable items from a corrupted official of the city. Content includes a quiet and somewhat empty noble manor, valuable trinkets and powerful magic items, hidden doors, political secrets, and a potentially dangerous hidden dungeon.

How to prepare

All players MUST complete all tasks listed in the Welcome Links before the session begins. The links are sent via message over StartPlaying Games and Discord. All players MUST have the following items prepared before the session begins: ~ Reliable Access to the Internet ~ Card Payment set up in StartPlaying Games ~ A working microphone ~ An account for D&D Beyond (required to join the campaign, create digital character sheet, and use digital dice). ~ An account for Roll20 (required to access battle maps). ~ An account for Discord (main form of communication between players and the GM, used for character and environment interaction). ~ A Level 4 character created on D&D Beyond. ~ An open mind, a willingness to explore, and a respectful attitude toward everyone at the table. It is highly recommended to find a quiet environment with minimal interruptions in order to maintain immersion for the game. If you’re trying out new material - be it a class you’ve never played or a homebrewed spell list - please make sure you research it before we begin the session.
