Bad Beings!

About the adventure

Think: Terry Pratchett or Douglas Adams Meets "The Dirty Dozen". The Bad Beings want to do good, but somehow they just can't help being bad! Bad Beings is a custom D&D 5E Adventure, rife with comedy and high action. The Boys of the Lower Stain are not actually evil. In fact, they do try to be heroes. But their wild ways land them in trouble when things invariably go wrong. Unfortunately for them, there travels have brought them to the Land of Lond, a place known for being peaceful and law-abiding. Once there, they quickly earned the personal ire of Watch Captain Teer, who refers to hanging as "Taking Out the Laundry." But there are dark forces at work at Lond that even Teer knows nothing about. And it's up to you ... the Bad Beings ... to discover what they are. Or stumble on them, anyway. To give you a sense of the tone, we happen to have this transcript of an actual conversation overhead in the Tavern called "The Bifurcated Unicorn": TALIGAR aka "The Ripper": "Let me make is absolutely clear that I never call myself "The Ripper"... VEN-NUN SPYUT aka "Little Damage": "Right. It's not like you even rip anything, is it? TALIGAR: "I'm never rip anything. Ever. We're not EVIL, are we?" VEN-NUN, along with BIG KAMO and KRUGGG-GGG: "No! Not at all! No way.Ggggg-grag!" SETCHUBUS: "I am!" TALIGAR: "Sh! No, we're not Evil! We like a bit of drinking and a bit of fun, and sometimes maybe we end up in a minor scrape with the Law, but WE TRY TO DO GOOD. It's just ... sometimes we get a bit ... what's the word? VEN-NUN: Murdery? BIG KAMO: Drunk? KRUGGG-GGG: Gggg-gagak? SETCHUBUS: (timidly) Evil? TALIGAR: SH! No ... overzealous. We try to do good but things get out of hand, is all. How to prepare

I will send new players a "cheat sheet" to help them play. I also offer a free 45 mins character rolling session for brand new players. Players must have webcam/mic/headphones. We will have 1/2 hour FREE pregame tech time to make sure we can communicate. Players will need Discord (or we can play through Meet, Zoom, or other comm software.) That way, you will have access to all manuals, custom content (including full homebrew characters) and 3D Dice.

What I provide

Players who connect through DND Beyond (for FREE) will have access to: 1. all core manuals (including Player Handbook, Rick and Morty vs. DND, DM Guide and Monster Manual.) 2. 3D Online Dice rolling Map Software: I use Encounter + which is a browser-based map software. Players can move their own tokens. Maps are gorgeous and include Line of Sight and Fog of War. I'll also be bringing my sense of humour, my ability to improvise, my professional writing skills and my warm and pleasant gameplay style.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
