About the adventure

Every legend has its beginning, and that of the Avatar is no exception. The game is set in the world of Avatar just after the death of Wan. The players will be a party tasked to find the next avatar, guided by a vision that promises his return. The world you will explore is one in which 'nations' do not exist yet, and the concept of bending is still primitive at best. What once was the spirit wilds is now a vast contested territory that humans are trying to claim for themselves. Throughout the adventure, whether or not you decide to play as a bender, you will come to understand more about the gift of bending and the responsibilities that come with it. But you will also meet the first non-benders, the first air nomads, the first sun warriors, and so forth. Some of the things you've seen in the shows might not exist yet because no one has created or invented them yet - and you might be the person to change that! You will be free to create any character you like, even though some options will not be available to you (for instance, you will not be able to play a metalbender, nor will you be able to play the avatar). This will be a roleplay-heavy game, and most of the time you're not roleplaying, you will be exploring an amazing and unknown world. Since Wan was the first firebender besides being the first avatar, I thought it fitting that his successor would be an airbender, but of course all the events in the adventure will be non-canon. I am unable to specify this, but the game will be run using Legend of the Elements, a PbtA hack.
