About the adventure

Welcome to the Wasteland. Twenty years ago things were normal, then one afternoon that changed. No one you have ever talked to knows why the nuclear Armageddon happened, nor why it happened on that day rather than any other. You have, at best, fragments of memories of that old time. You were young and life was very hard for a very long time. At some point your family joined the town you are living in. This campaign is set in the US twenty years after the world was destroyed by nuclear fire. Each character was either a young child when the bombs fell or was born in the immediate aftermath. This campaign will focus on society beginning to rebuild after two decades of figuring out how to just survive. The setting is inspired by Fallout and Wasteland but is its own setting.

How to prepare

Players should prepare by having a microphone and preferably headphones of some kind (to reduce feedback). They will also need an account with both Discord and Roll20, both of which are free. Roll20 has a virtual dice roller but if you prefer to use your own you can. They should be familiar with the rules of D20 Modern as well.

What I provide

I will be bringing a fun campaign using Roll20's D20 Modern character sheets.

Gameplay details

This game uses lines and veils as well as a red, yellow, green light system as its safety tools. I want everyone to have fun, which means not being uncomfortable and a story taking place in a world where society collapsed because over 90% of humans were killed in a war can bring up things people may be uncomfortable with. The players live in a small settlement as we tell the story of how the settlement survives and thrives. Some sessions will be proactive as the players say they want to complete a goal that they come up with, others will be reactive as things in the world happen to the settlement, as well as times when the settlement's other members will give quests.

How will character creation work

Character creation will happen at the start of the first session.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
