About the adventure

You were supposed to awoken at new Colony, forging a new path for mankind. Instead you've come out of cryo disoriented, the ship's crew is missing and MU/TH/R blares alarm after alarm. Everyone else is as lost as you... worst the ship is losing orbit and everything could come crashing down... How will you survive? This is a homebrew cinematic campaign for the Alien RPG based on the ending of the movie Alien:Covenant. I wrote it as an alternate introduction to the game, and exemplifies the systems ability to translate the difficulties of space travel, the mystery and loneliness that comes with it, player cooperation and conflict, and more important, the danger of horrible Aliens (maybe) lurking around.

How to prepare

There is not much to prepare. Though I like for players to pick their characters in advance, so we can have a quick chat over them, to make sure they understand the characters fully and roleplay feels more natural.

What I provide

Since this is a scenario written by me, after the game I offer the PDFs if anyone is interested in the system and likes the scenario enough to run it for their friends. This includes a map.

Gameplay details

There is horror, so expect gory descriptions combined with a sense of powerlessness, suspense, and even the occasional jump scare. Players have secret agendas so there can be party conflict, made worse with ethical decisions regarding the life of others. As players sign up, they are encouraged to inform me of any lines (hard limits in content) or veils (soft limits for content, such as fadeaways and not describing certain actions). As in all my games, the X is used as a safety tool. Finally, the first 10 minutes of the sessions are dedicated for a quick safety talk and setting table rules.

How will character creation work

Players can choose from a pool of 9 pre-gen characters, representing the various careers (classes) in the main game. Characters not chosen will be NPCs in the scenario.
