About the adventure

Remnants of a people, war-torn refugees, broke into the seas of Ascentora through an unclaimed and temporary junction. They arrived on a small fleet of stolen ships—some celestial and some fiendish. Numbering at just under three thousand people, these are the Visia—denizens of a world amid a holy war. Originally of the celestial faction, these refugees defected to the fiendish faction only so that they could betray both and escape from the clutches of war. Visians are people whose hearts visibly glow from within their chest when their hearts race. They are somewhat short in stature, comparable to high elves, but are far heavier than they look due to their dense muscles and bones. To strike a Visian in their prime is to strike a stone. This strength was why both factions from their world’s holy war wanted Visian soldiers. These refugees were the last to remain neutral—the last hope from the warring factions to turn the tide. Instead, in distant Ascentora, the final Visia sought sanctuary. They are the rare pacifists of their world Ascentora was a dangerous place for them. Their sheer body density meant that falling into the atmos unda, the cloud sea, resulted in falling out of reach and rescue. From their weakening ships, they sent for help. There is one true hope for their dream: to make a home in the clutches of the great, unexplored steelcloud: Mount Dawn. Mount Dawn is a nigh impenetrable cloud that floats through the atmos unda like an iceberg in a saltwater sea. Upon its surface dwells life, but rumors abound of the monstrous predators within the complex, interior chambers. Protect the Visia. Conquer the cloudborn wilds. Find a path to sanctuary for those who dearly wish for peace.
